Hi there, friends!
I have written a lot of letters of late, and a few of them I have photographed, and I figured you all might enjoy!
I generally have done similar types of art, mostly lettering and some very Christmassy.
I had the phone sitting up playing music as I was doing this letter, so I thought, “Hey, that’s not a bad idea!” Hehe. It turned out pretty good, and I did it a few more times on other letters.
This one was just simple, but I liked how clean and simple the lettering was. (And you just have to love Santa over in the corner!)
I started doing lots of holly during December with this gold lettering. AH! I just lovemaking Christmas envelopes.
I love to layer washi tapes on the back, and over them a wax seal or sticker. I love the affect. (The plaid washi tape is from Hobby Lobby and the yellow is from the Peach and Poppy Co. snail mail kit here)
I made a collage on a envelope last year using wrapping paper, so I hath done it again. Funny, my penpal’s name is Joy, so it worked out perfectly! (:
He’s just so jolly! XD
I wrote a lot of letters one morning, so I did a little letter photoshoot. (:
I sealed them all similarly. Don’t you just love washi tape? (:
One of my favorite ways to letter is by using two Tombow Dual Brush pens, one slightly darker than the other, to create a fade effect. I did snowflakes, too, to give me a little snow in the midst of Georgia’s 65° degrees. (:
Who knew letters could provide so much shading and varying angles? XD
I love filling in all the closed-in spaces with color. It adds a little “pop” (:
This one I used a black Tombow dual brush pen and my beloved white signo broad gel pen. Kinda interesting!
I hope you all enjoyed this, and let me know if you’d like to see more soon!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to your new year!
Which envelope was your favorite? What did you do to kick off the new year? Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
