Hi! *waves*
Happy Monday to ya!
I love adding little elements to my bullet journal, whether it be stickers, washi tape, designs, I love it to be colorful and fun.

One of my favorite things to add is banners. I use them a lot as headers, and titles, and there are so many different ways, lengths and styles.
I wanted to share some of my favorite ways with you today!
I always start out sketching my banners, so this will be in pencil(:
#1 A Simple Banner
Start out with a simple rectangle, any size.
Then add two lines on the bottom third of your rectangle.
Create from those lines two more rectangles.
From the bottom corners of the main rectangle, draw a diagonal line to the corners of the two rectangles below. This creates the 3d “folded” effect.
Line it, then add shading to the “folded” part, if you choose. I always just hatch it, giving it a simpler feel, but you can color it or even use black!
#2 A Bit More Intricate
This banner is mostly the same, with one small modification that makes it look a bit fancier.
Start with the same as the first, one rectangle, then draw two underneath, add the diagonal lines to create the “fold”, BUT, before you line it…
Start from the top outward corners of the two bottom rectangles, and draw a diagonal line to the middle (below).
Draw the other one to match, creating a flag look. Erase any unneeded lines.
It looks a bit more intricate, but is still really simple.
#3 The Inverted
(augh!!! The blur! Please excuse(: )
This rectangle you start out with is a bit different, more like a oval rectangle together.
(Sadly I realized I didn’t get pictures of the process, but I shall explain)
This one is very much the same as the last two, but swapped. Instead of drawing the flags under, they will be on top.
Hint: a simple way to do this is to turn your paper upside down! XD
#4 Up And Down
I like doing my banners this way. This is one of my favorite ones, too, I just love how flowey this (and the next one) one is.
It starts out with oval/rectangle, and where you would draw two lines (for the two rectangles) on the bottom third, draw one at the top third and one at the bottom third. (shown below)
From there draw two rectangles. One will be up and one will be down.
Now you can add the diagonal “folds.” Only, these will be different. For bottom rectangle to the middle rectangle you will draw a diagonal line from the inside (for my case, bottom left) corner to the bottom (bottom right, for me) of the middle rectangle.
For the top, you will draw a line from the top inside corner (top right, for me) to the top of the middle rectangle (mine’s top left)
That way it’s “folding” correctly. (I’ve done it before where you have the two folds on the bottom. Heh, doesn’t quite work! XD)
#5 My favorite(:
I make this one all the time, I love it!
The rectangle for this one is a bit different, one corner curves up and one down. The top and bottom lines are parallel, they mirror each other.
You add just normal rectangles, one from the top third up and one from the bottom third down. Drawing the diagonal line as before, it takes shape! I love this one.
Then you can add the flag corners.
I just love the fluidity of this one, it’s so cute! I use this one all the time (or did I already say that many times? XD).
#6 Intricate And Flowy
This one starts the same as the past two, one side up and one down. Draw the diagonal “folds”
From those rectangles add one to each of those, the top one down, the bottom up (shown). Add the diagonal lines and then the little flag endings if you wish. (:
This one’s fun if you want it to be a bit fancier. It’s fun!
I hope you enjoyed all of these! Let me know in the comments which was your favorite!
I hope you’re having a great day!
Which banner was your favorite? Would you like to see more intricate and fancy banners one day? What’s your favorite Disney song of all time? Do you like classical music?
This was fun to read, AK!!! I didn’t realize how easy it is to draw a banner! I’m not the most artistic person when it comes to drawing, but I think I could do that. 😀 I would like to see more fancy banners! Oooh, I enjoy classical music! It’s perfect for when I do school.

I would def love to see more bullet journaling type posts, my favourite Disney song is Hakuna Matata, and I’m not a huge fan of classical music but I can’t really knock it because I haven’t listened to it much!

These are so sweet and simple! I love how much they can add to your spreads. I’d love to see more intricate banners 😀 Ahh I don’t know if I can choose one song, I love them all ❤ Maybe You Got a Friend in Me or Wondering. I love classical music! I'm a classical pianist, so I have a lot of appreciation for well-written classical music 😜

A favorite kind, like, composer? Well, I love Sibelius for violin and I play Bach, Beethoven and Mozart on piano, so they’re probably my favorites. Do you? (:
