I hope you enjoyed this post, and I can’t wait to see who wins!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and I can’t wait to see who wins!
Hi! How are you al– DID I JUST SAY JULY?! Umm, no. Surely not.
Ahh, unless the automatically against my will pre-set calendar on this computer is deceiving me, it is, indeed, nearly July. (Approx. 6 hours and 55 minutes. *ahem*)
It can’t be stopped. Oh dearie me.
ANYwho, I have a new bullet journal setup for July! Hurrah!
I really wanted to do a “summery” theme, so I picked sunflowers. I kept it fairly simple, with a few black lines and minimal fonts.
I’ve found I like smaller calendars as I use mainly the weekly logs in my bullet journal. This one page size is perfect if you use smaller writing!
I decided to go for a pretty basic swirlyish print. With all of the petals and leaves, I thought simple would be best.
The next page is is my collaboration of many different categories. I have goals, to dos, ideas and important. (Just me, or whenever you see/write “important” do you say in your mind, “Im-por-tan-te?” XD) I made the leaves the borders of the categories, for fun.
The next page is my monthly habit tracker (things I’m hoping to grow into habits) and this month I have: Everyday bible reading, Music practice (all of the instruments, not just piano, I tell meeself. XD), retainer every night (which I usually do, but doesn’t hurt to remind!) and make bed. I don’t know why, but I really need to work on the last one. XD
I just used the green color (oh, all of the pens are from Tombow!) and I drew in a few floating petals, for, uhh… no reason, actually. XD I felt like I needed a little “sumthin”.
This is my letter page. A few things haven’t been working out with my normal letter tracker. I keep forgetting if I’ve mailed one out. So this time I added a “to reply section,” which I think will help a bit. I also added lots of sunflowers. XD
Then I have my first weekly log of the month of July! Fairly simple and spaced out. I also put in sunflowers!
Then I have my money tracker. This layout is uber helpful for moi to see everything that’s going on in the piggy bank. I try not to do more spending than what’s in the expenses column, and I try to save a bunch. Seeing this helps.
Then I have the log for week two. Pretty much the same thing for this week!
Then I added a fun sunflower quote! I love throwing a quote or something into a spread.
Then I combined two weekly logs into one. I like the appearance of these pages.
And I had to stretch the last remaining days onto another page, then I added my daily routine section (that I still need to fill in. hehe!) and the next page is my month’s farewell!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this month’s layout! What’re you up to for the 4th?
Any 4th of July plans? What’re you up to in July? Do you like sunflowers?
Hello there! My name is Audrey Kate Procrastination, how are you?
Wahaha. Seriously, though. I apparently have been neglecting the WordPress “write” button lately, oh my…
BUT! I’m here now, so I thought I would update the home page with a few recent foto… um, “FOTO?” *PHotos that I’ve taken.
Is it shocking to y’all how fast June has gone? Just me? I mean, I feel like I’m just sitting here looking at the 24th and it’s just waving at me like “hey, don’t know what you’re doing so I’m.. just gonna.. go…” *inhales* DOES THIS MEAN 2020’S HALF OVER? *screams down the hall*
Eheh, so now I shall show you a few recent pieces of photography. (:
We went to my great uncle’s house for Memorial Day *hides (’twas a month ago)* and he lives in a 1940’s home where he’s lived his entire life, nowhere else. It provides so many interesting photo opportunities.
I’ve enjoyed doing monochromatic photos lately, and when we came back from my Uncle’s house I decided to snap a few sunset photos in monochrome and regular filters.
AHHH piano in a late golden hour… ❤
My goodness. Meet Callie, a family friend’s new puppy. Isn’t she ADORABLE? She’s also crazy, but that’s the minor fact(:
My friends and I decided to do a few ‘rona themed photos, which were really fun (just a note, we weren’t being inconsiderate towards those with the virus, we were just sarcastically portraying the mask/toilet paper/sanitizer scenes around town. (: ) to do.
I hope you’ve enjoyed a few recent photos! Stay tuned for new posts coming soon!
I hope you’re doin’ dandy,
How are you all doing? Which photo was your favorite? What posts would you like to see from me next on my blog? What is your opinion on peanut butter, crunchy or smooth?
Did I really just write “June” on the title of this post?
I’m just sitting here at my desk watching May drive out my driveway and some weird thing named June is roundin’ the corner. What. The “COVID Months” seem slow, but then at the end of the month I’m just.. flabbergasted.
To put it mildly.
Anywho, I have my June bullet journal all prepared. I started it our last week of school and I was thinking June was so far away. n-OPE. It got here so fast!
Do I say that every month? *reflection nods at me*
Enough of that scary talk (😂), let’s get on with the post! I have a monstera plant in my room, wait let me get a picture…
And I was laying in my bed early one morning and I saw it and thought it would be a fun bullet journal theme. The splits in the leaves looked really fun to draw!
I did a monochromatic purple theme for April and since most of this was green, I didn’t want green lettering, so I used my Tombow fudenosuke soft tip pen for the lettering and fonts. For everything else I used my Tombow dual brush pens (249, 192 + 158).
I decided to condense my calendar into one page instead of two (which, now that I think about it is going to be hard now that I’m working and things are back up and running here XD. Strange I did such big calendars and weekly logs for quarantine months… XD) which is going to save a bit of space. I actually use weekly logs more than I thought, so they shall come in handy(:
I also mashed to do’s, goals and ideas into one page with some monstera leaves at the bottom.
My habit tracker page I changed up a bit (see what it’s usually like here and here) and I lengthened it horizontally across the page instead of in squares(: Instead of filling the squares, when completed, out with black, I decided to use green for different reasons. Dark green means I completed it, light green means I almost did it, but not quite, and blank, (as I plainly stated on my page down there, heh.) means “nope” XD.
My habits to build this month: Water, at least 5 glasses, read my bible daily, practice all instruments, walk daily, and wear my retainer every night (which I usually do, but doesn’t hurt to remind. XD)
My first weekly log looks pretty similar, but it has eight rectangles. The first one states the week, with the leaves, and the rest are minimal and green with the day in the top and the date in the bottom. This is one of my favorite layouts for the weekly logs, I am able to write my to do’s and what’s going on and reminders and such.
The next page is a mile tracker for the last three weeks of the Spring100 challenge. This is helpful for my forgetful self(: I can’t believe Summer (eep!) is in three weeks!?!
The next page is for blog post ideas. I decided to divide this into categories (life, art and other) to help me see exactly in what order I’m posting in. (and what to post about later!) at the bottom of this page I put in another leaf. These are so fun to draw! If you would like to see a tutorial on that, please, do tell! (:
My second weekly log is a horizontal layout, and at the bottom I have some more leaves. I also enjoy this layout because I can divide it up vertically.
I wanted to do a quote page, so I got the quote “use your mistakes to build stairs, not walls.” and I drew some stairs with a plant ‘a perched in the middle. The letter tracker on the next page consists on many different greens and thicknesses, and it’s the usual layout.
I squished the third weekly log and the fourth log in two pages. I don’t know quite how the space will work, but we’ll see! Anyone have some tiny writing classes for me to take? XD
The last two pages are the rest of the last weekly log, and near the bottom is the end of the month to do’s, with some leaves.
To close out the month I have the bible verse “the Lord is my strength and shield, my heart trusts in Him and He helps me.” Psalm 28:7 I really love this verse and it fits on the page pretty well. What’s your favorite verse? What’s the verse that means the most to you?
I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday, or whatever day you are reading this on! Do you have Summer plans?
What does your June look like? Do you prefer apples, or oranges? Do you have plants in your room? What is your favorite part about Summer?
Oh my, *checks calendar* it’s been way too long. I’m glad to be writing again! Even though I’ve been “quarantined” I’ve somehow let the days slide quickly. Is that possible? XD
Well, in my absence I’ve done a lot around my house, which I’ve enjoyed. It’s been nice having time to do things I’ve wanted to do, but just didn’t find the time to do. And luckily all of this craziness seems to be slowing down a bit at the start of Summer! I end my school year on the 22nd this year, and I can’t wait to have those long, fun Summer days ahead. Anyone else?
Well, lots of letters have passed through my *sanitized* (🤣) fingers, and I thought I’d share a bit ‘o recent letter art/lettering.
For some reason, I’ve been really into identical envelope art. Each day when I mail out letters, each day has different envelopes. A few days ago I did these black and white envelopes, using a white Signo broad gel pen. This is a wonderful, affordable pen for dark papers as such. I also use it a lot for highlights when lettering, one of my favorites.
I suppose this was another themed day. XD I love using a slightly different tone of color on envelopes to do the lettering, it creates such a pretty, soft, simple look.
Ah, another! Hehe. I love doing this lemon-looking pattern. It was so Summery I couldn’t stop doing it. XD I used my Tombow Dual brush pens and the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens for this.
I really enjoy using washi tape as borders for envelopes. If you’re running low on time, but want to make your snail mail fun with color, throwing a bit ‘o washi tape or sticker on there is a great way to spruce it up!
Using drop shadows is one of my favorite ways to do letter art. It just adds a little sumpin’ sumpin’. What are your favorite ways to spruce your envelopes? I’d love to know!
I’ve been enjoying lettering bible verses lately. Below is part of one of my favorite verses (and a sneak peak into the June BUJO setup(: ).
The walks lately have held many beautiful flowers and beautiful skies. Have you all walked this Spring? Do you have flowers blooming?
My cousin and his family came to visit a week or so ago, and so provided some photo opportunities of his little children. It was so fun! Toddlers and babies are interesting subjects. (:
Oh yeah, my brother caught a baby mouse in our next-door field. hELp. He will just pick anything up. O.o
Though, it is rather cute. XD
A few weeks ago I took a walk through the field while the flowers were in full bloom. I documented some of it, so here we are! (:
That is it for now, friends! Truly, how are you doing? Farewell!
What part was your favorite? What would you like my next post to be about? What do you think about lemons? What’s your favorite color?
Oh wait… I must’ve mean’t to write January in the title ’cause it sure don’t feel like May!
It’s crazy to think how fast everything’s going. Wow. Even in quarantine, I feel almost as busy as before, even without going places. It’s been nice to get to do things I’ve wanted to do or needed to do. I’ve been able to paint a lot, I finished changing up my room, cleaned a lot, I’ve written new music, it’s been nice.
Whilst we’ve been doing school during the day (while my Mom reads aloud) I’ve been working on my May bullet journal setup.
I’ve been wanting to try watercolors in my bujo for awhile, so I figured I’d give it a go this month. I’m pretty happy with it, I love all the colors and the dainty floral.
To the left, I started out the month with a quote, “the earth laughs in flowers” and I put various florals beneath. To the right I have the first page of the month, which states the month and is surrounded by flowers.
My next two pages are the calendar for the month. My April calendar (see here) was left quite blank, since there was no event in April, but I thought I’d do one for May, just in case. (:
I wrote “May” again, and I did a border of flowers around the calendar. If you remember August, I did the same calendar layout there. I needed a bit more color, so I did a little dollop of color where the day’s number goes
This left page is my goals and to do’s for the month. I needed a bit more color so I… you know… completely filled in the rectangles with completely random colors in my watercolor pan. *slightly convincing grin* XD
My next page is my habit trackers. For this month I am trying to build the habit of 5+ bottles water, daily bible reading, practice all the instruments, and walk/run daily. Do you have any habits to build this upcoming month?
My first weekly log is fairly simple, the first square says it’s “the first week of May” and flowers. I went and drew in the other squares and I colored in the 0’s with different colors.
The next page is my Spring100 mile tracker. I surrounded this with flowers and incased it in black.
The next page is a quote, another “flowery” one. XD
“Bloom where you are planted”
The next weekly log is a loopy layout, pretty easy, too! I put the date in a circle with flowers inside. Underneath “notes” I decided to add a few more flowers. Better get as many as I can in there, ya know?
Hehe, I took a picture whilst I was photographing this setup. I had to squat to take the photos, so it was a funny photography setup. XD
My next page is for blog post ideas. Do you have any for me? I’d love to know!
The next one is my letter tracker. The “stamp” (which is a box I check if I’ve sent a reply) I painted different colors along both of the pages on the bottom.
I wanted to be a bit more conservative for the third weekly log, so I am trying putting the whole week on one page. Hopefully it’ll work, small writing must get to work! On the left of the day I have a flower, on the right, the date.
The right page is a.. window. Hehe! Quite random, but fun!
I squished the rest of the month (10 days) onto two pages. I did lines of color, with words appearing to be behind that, and on the color I wrote the same, though in cursive. This is my happy page. I like how vibrant the colors came out for this weekly log a lot. On the bottom of the right page, I did “end of the month to-do’s” and flowers.
These pages are some of my favorite. I got excited about Summery colors, so I went ham. XD
This is my “Summer Goals” pages, and the category I chose are Blog, Bible (as in scripture memorization, daily readings/plans, etc), Art, and Other (like baking, cooking, cleaning, etc). This can be stretched over many pages or turned into multiple columns. You might like to use this, even if you don’t bujo. I find that setting goals for myself helps me be more productive, especially if it’s in a time (like Summer) where you have more time on your hands. (:
Normally, in the beginning of the year I make an address page, but I realize that I hadn’t yet, so I did! I used thin washi tape as a border between the different addresses. At the top I used a banner (see my banner post here), and I made it rather loopy to opposite the straight lines.
I hope y’all enjoyed this month’s setup! I can NOT believe May is almost here. What are your May’s typically like? Anything to look forward to?
Have a wonderful rest of your day!
What was your favorite part of April? What are you hoping to achieve in May? Which page is your favorite this month? How’s your quarantine so far?
Can you picture it?
A night where the moon bursts out beneath magnificent streams of still clouds.
A morning where the fresh cut grass sticks to your feet as you walk to the garden.
A night when you need a light jacket because of a hair-twirling breeze, but you have your bare feet out.
A day when you eat a sandwich up in a tree for no reason.
A morning where the sun’s rays are so majestic you feel you must take a photo with a camera that has held many a memory card in its life.
A night of warm weather sounds like frogs and cicadas calling to one another.
When you come in from being outside, not thinking you were sweaty from the heat, but a fan cooling your house is everything you didn’t know you needed.
I like those moments. They are almost here. Though, it feels vaguely quite. Vaguely still.
There may not be the getting together with neighbors and grilling and playing soccer until the stars are brightly shining, or the amazing, juicy watermelon eating in a family reunion, but maybe the stillness holds something good, too.
This upcoming season will be a lot different. But maybe it will be special in itself.
Though, strangely, it almost seems… okay right now. Is it a rest we needed?
If there’s one thing I’ve felt in this time we’re in, it’s calmness. I feel calm.
I know there’s strange stuff going on, and it’s very sad, but I think it might almost be a blessing we’re able to be in our homes. It gives us time to think. To be with God and strengthen our relationship with him.
Sometimes life can be crazy. Sometime you feel like you could use a break.
Now is a perfect time. We’re in for awhile, why not make the best of it?
The warm nights of shining stars, bright moons, dewy grass and dandelions are still coming, but this Summer may be different.. maybe.
I am thankful for technology (email, phone calls, etc.), and the mail (and blogging, of course!) to help us all stay connected.
We can still enjoy the warmth of the nearing season!
Have a wonderful day, and Happy Early Easter! He is risen!
Are any of those warm memories yours as well? How are you staying connected with your friends and family? Are you enjoying a bit of a rest from things? What are your quarantine days like?
I have accumulated many a photo lately, so I though I would share. I am not going to write much, I just thought I’d add all of these photos. (; I hope you enjoy!
Don’t you love golden hour? My favorite time to photograph.
Even weeds are beautiful in the right light.
The beginnings of Summer berries!
I hope you enjoyed! I know this wasn’t my usual post format, but sometimes change is good! I hope you are all well and safe!
Do you light photography posts? Isn’t golden hour great? What’ve you been up to? How is your Spring turning out?
Hello! Greetings! Good day!
I hope you’re all well and happy!
I CANNOT believe April (april!!) is almost here. I can practically touch it! You know what the means?? A quarter of 2020 is already gone. Poof! Like that. Man.
Well, I did do a bullet journal stupor the lovely month of April, and I hope you like it!
This month I went with a diamond/gem theme. I also wanted to do a “monochromatic” look, meaning all the same color, but I did do different shades. I went with purple. I did this theme with a friend, so I believe she did blue. It’s fun to see different styles and tastes when it comes to art and bullet journaling.
For the gems and diamonds I outlined some them with the purple, and others I filled in and did a darker shade on top. This helped create a little dimension and varying tones, not such a blank slate, if you know what I mean.
I used to fonts, a typewriter style and cursive/brush style. I like to switch it up, It helps it not to be too similar.
This page was a bit different than what I normally do, I wanted to break it up and do half side habits and goals, half side Reminders and habits. I just felt like breaking it up. I also did gems on the bottom on one side and on the top on the next page. My habits this month: Water (5+ cups), music practice, bible readings, and exercise (running and walking). Do you have any habits this month?
My first weekly spread is fairly simple, just the rectangles in purple along with the first one proclaiming what week it is and some more diamonds and gems.
I wanted to add a quote page this year, since these help a lot when I want to add something special to a letter or paint it, so I added one in. Not much there, I mail kept with the theme(:
The next page is my April letter tracker (whenct I received and whom I received from and the square in the corner is for when I mail a reply, I’ll check it.) This helps me keep track of if I’ve written letter back and who it’s from, etc. They’re quite helpful. You could turn this into tracking bills, anything like that. It can be customized any way you please!
The left page here is my Money tracker. I normally teach piano and do some other things, but all of that had to be cancelled during this time of the Coronavirus, so this page won’t be used much. (I did most of this before the threat was really real)
My to do page I wanted to change a bit, so I put it all in on giant gem. XD
I really enjoyed my dutch-door page from last month, so I made another for April. I made it a cut out in the shape of the gems. I made it so it matched on both sides when you flip it. I don’t know why, but dutch door spreads are happy!
I added weekly events on the left and weekly to-do’s on the right.
This weekly log I changed up a bit, doing more of a long style setup. Hehe, I accidentally used a pinky-purple in this by accident. XD Do you like it?
This next page is my mile log for the Spring100. I have been just writing them in the calendar page, but I figured a log like this might be more helpful. The next page is the start of the next weekly log. (the last week of April)
This is the last page of April! I finished the month out, and I made weekly to-do’s on the side, and some gems and a big ‘ole “farewell April” to close out the month.
I hope y’all liked that! How are you doing? I sure hope everything’s dandy with you and your’s!
Oh yes, before I forget, I have a few miscellaneous letter art photos to share(:
I’ve been really into theming my letters. This one I did kind of a blue/galaxy theme with watercolor and such.
We went on a trip in September and I wanted to write back to some of my favorite spots on that trip. I did some envelope art of the areas I was in(:
An adorable motel we stayed at in Red Lodge, MT. They had adorable stickers that looked like this envelope.
Well, that’s it. I hope you all enjoyed, and happy Sunday!
Did you do a April bullet journal setup? Do you like purple? How’s quarantine life for you? Do you like cheese (say yes. XD)?
