Thank you, Cassia, for hosting this contest! It was so fun.

WELL… We recently went to the Country Living Fair not far from us in Stone Mountain, Ga. It was so fun! It was supposed to rain, but it remained fallishly cool and overcast, we couldn’t argue!

The Country Living Fair consists of food trucks, vendors containing things from the magazine, clothes, house things, vintage things, art, rugs, and all at Stone Mountain. We walked around the winding pathways and stopped at the different pop-ups.

We also got sick from the various cinnamon sugar pecans that might’ve been purchased for the pleasure of the taste buds. Mmm mm. (They’re GREAT)

There were some lovely paintings and artsy things. How pretty!

There was this one vendor that had these beautiful butterflies. Look at that middle one!

IMG_0018.JPG

This was a degree from 1930 by Emory University hospital (right here in ATL!). I thought it was so neat! Mr. Mclaren Johnson. SO cool!

IMG_0020.JPG

This rocking horse looked very interested in his job. XD

IMG_0021.JPG

I loved the vintage postal boxes! I thought about getting some for my letters, but vintage prices weren’t quite in my reach(:

IMG_0029.JPG

AH! Vintage cameras!

IMG_0038.JPG

Look at this Kodak! I would like to take pictures with one of these. They’re so cute!

IMG_0039.JPG

On one of the loops there were vintage campers set up to look inside. I didn’t get good photos of the inside, but they had pink cabinets! AH!

IMG_0044.JPG

I kept trying to get photos of mirrors. Heh, it was hard! XD

I hope your day is wonderful!

Real Neat Blogger Award

screen-shot-2019-02-26-at-5.42.45-pm.png

I was recently nominated by Ezra to do this awesome award! Thank you so much, Ezra! Be sure to go check out his blog. It’s super neat!

Let’s go!

So, the rules are:

  1. Put the award logo on your blog
  2. Answer the 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you
  3. Thank the person who nominated you and links to their blog(s)
  4. Nominate any number of bloggers and link to their blog(s)
  5. Come up with seven questions for the people who nominated you

Onward!

Ezra’s questions…

  1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Hmm… Well, I love America, so I would probably want to explore a little more of it, but internationally I’d say Scotland/England or Switzerland(:

2. What is your favorite genre of music?

Ooh. Well, I like a lot of different types. I would definitely say Christian (such as Chris Tomlin, Bethel, Switchfoot, etc.), Rock (Like the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and others), and Indie/Folk (Like Ingrid Michaelson, Sarah Bareilles, and others).

3. What is your favorite book series?

Ahhh!!😱 SO HARD! I LOOOVE the Chronicles of Narnia, the Little House series, and the Mysterious Benedict Society. (If you call that a series(: )

4. Why did you decide to start blogging?

Hmm. Well, A long time ago when I was much younger I had a blog about American Girl dolls called Dollventuresblog. In 2016, I got locked out (for some odd reason) and couldn’t get back in. After taking a long break from blogging and playing with my dolls, I wanted to start it up again. Then I started theJunebugblog in September 2017(: I wanted to show the things I was interested in and inspire folks!

5. What is your least favorite food?

Hmm. I don’t really know! I like most foods. Maybe Cajun food? I know that sounds strange, but the past few times I’ve had it, it wasn’t the most enjoyable! 🤪

6. What’s the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?

Mexican candy. Definitely. It was supposed to be edible paper with this gel frosting pen that you can use to write on it. Then you eat it.🤢 It was, *ahem* interesting.

7. What’s your favorite color?

I like dusty blue, Blush pink and Turquoise(:

That’s it for the questions. Those were fun! Much thanks to you, Ezra!

Now my nominees are (Linking to their most recent post so it notifies them):

Sydney

Clara

Rosy

Lillian

Ani

Rhi

Olivia

And my questions:

  1. Would you prefer chocolate or vanilla?
  2. Where’s the most interesting place you’ve been to?
  3. Do you prefer reading or writing?
  4. What is your dream job?
  5. Do you say “y’all” or “you all?”
  6. What’s your favorite season?
  7. If you could have any natural ability (such as being a math major at 12, or being a pianist by ear, or an amazing baker), what would it be?

Thank you smooch for reading! If you would like to do this award and I didn’t nominate you, feel free to do so!

I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

Also: There is an online race going on right now. The registry closes on March 25th. It is called “Spring100” and it is for runners and walker to run or walk 100 intentional (not just from your couch to the fridge to get a snack!) miles between now and June 21st. This is my first year doing it, and I’m excited! It’s totally free. Click here if you’re interested! I will be planning to post a little bit of my progress on the way. I am looking forward to it!

A New Design?! Yes!

Hello, all!

EEP! I’m so excited!

Megan @  A Barefoot Gal offers this AMAZING blog design service on her wonderful blog, and I contacted her, not even a week ago, and she designed my blog beautifully. (and super quickly! I mean really, 5 days? Wow!)

She designed my whole blog, but she also offers things separately: a Button, (which I was very excited to get😄) A header, Sidebar graphics, A Signoff, pretty much anything you want! And she does them so well and is very easy to contact! She got back to me quickly.

If you are wanting a new “do” for your blog, definitely go to Megan! (She’s awesome😁)

Thanks much for reading!

Christmas Countdown, Day 2

2.png

Aloha!

🎶 Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day..

heehee, That was just me remembering yesterday’s “Christmas Countdown”

Today’s topic is… drumroll please.. CHRISTMAS-Y FASHION!

WOO HOO!

OK, so, some of you might be envisioning a green and red Christmas sweater your great-Aunt Rudy crocheted for you. Is that it? (:

Some of my favorite things to wear at Christmastime are Christmas socks, that pretty much look like Aunt Rudy’s sweaters. But they’re GREAT! (just if you’re wondering, Target has some great pairs in their dollar section(; )

🎶        🎶        🎶

Well… I guess that about wraps this up.

HAH! get it? Wraps this up! because you know, Christmas and you, um, wrap things and, no? OK.

19 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Countdown, Day 1.

Hi, Everybody!

There are, umm, let’s check the calendars here, let’s see. There’s about, uh.. 20 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!??!! Huh? How is that even possible? It seems like 2018 is going (gone) SO fast! Is that just me?

I decided I would do a Countdown to Christmas (or vice versa, hence the name(: ) It will be the first time that i’ve done something like this on a blog, so we’ll see how it goes! It should be fun!

Here’s how it works:

So, The idea is, I’ll post something everyday (hehe, we’ll see how THAT goes!) that is Christmas themed! I love seeing what other people do around the holidays. It’s such a cheerful, festive time of year!

I’ll post little Christmasy snippets (supposedly (: ) everyday, except Sundays. Enjoy!

                                  Birthday-2

Yay! I’m excited to start. For day one, I will be talking about music! Christmas music is a large part of our music. Our Christmas playlists consist of these, mostly:

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

HANDELS MESSIAH

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AND OTHERS, INCLUDING AMY GRANT (;

As you can see, we like Amy Grant’s Christmas music(:

No, really, we do like Amy Grant’s Christmas albums, but we really like listening to Selah’s Christmas album “The Rose of Bethlehem”,too. It’s really very pretty. I like it because they mix some christian songs with popular and traditional music.

We all enjoy the traditional Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Jackson 5 and such. They’re always good!

I really like Lauren Daigle’s Christmas albums. She has such an amazing, powerful voice!

We all like the Pentatonix Christmas Albums. Oh man, are THEY talented!

What kind of Christmas music do YOU like? Comment below; I’d love to know!

I hope you like my first Christmas snippet for Countdown to Christmas!

What are you doing for the holidays?

Looking Back: Summer

Hello everyone!

I know it turned to Fall (yay!) 5 days ago, I thought I would do a look back on Summer!

IMG_9063

The first thing I posted this summer was my chalk-painted piano transformation post, where, well, I transformed my piano by chalk paint! I really like how it turned out! It still looks good; I really like using chalk paint.

IMG_9104

I made a lot of pillow forts, especially when it was raining, which was a lot of summer, so I made a short post showing one of my forts that I made with a friend.

IMG_9564
A very awkward shot of Maisy

I wrote a long story about our one-year moving journey that was filled with lots of Storage Units, Driving back and forth, and searching for new houses.

IMG_9568

I did (and learned) a lot of Brush Lettering over the summer, and it is one of my favorite things to do! I created a page for it, and i’m attempting to do a tutorial about each letter

IMG_8863

And, last of all, I did my Happy Birthday, Junebugblog! post. My blog celebrated it’s 1st birthday!

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Fall, All!
