Today I have set up my bullet journal for the new month at hand, and I thought I would present it here(:
To start off, we’re going on a long trip out west, so I have a lot of packing lists and reminders and such, it’s not quite my normal, but thus said, we shall get on with this post.
I made this little botanical theme for this month, and I used this gold-colored yellow pen to outline everything. I made a little calendar under the month, and then I made the calendar boxes on the right. I decided to keep it pretty simple, using a fine point brush pen and just block letters with a micron.
I had to stretch the remaining days to the next page, then I created a box for my goals for the month. I placed various washi tape in certain areas for a bit more pattern and color(:
The next page I made my habit trackers for the month in a green pen, and I used a coral colored tape.
My month’s letter tracker was similar, I used the floral theme in the corner, and I used the gold/yellow pen. I rotated between that color and the green one in the next page.
My ‘to do’s’ for the month page is really simple, just boxes to check(:
I made my September blog ideas with the same theme, and I made my list of things to do and places to see on our trip. (I have my packing lists in my August setup) I used the to do layout with the boxes, then I added this tape that says “Go where you feel most alive” and a cute little airplane cutout.
If y’all are looking for cute washi tape, Hobby Lobby is having a clearance sale on their brand “the paper studio.” Go check it out!
*end of brief note*
My friend and I made this little page we called “self care” that have a lot of things to do for fun.
Then I have some reminders for the month.
And that’s it!
What did you think of this months setup? What was your favorite page?
We finally had a break from all this rain we’ve been having and I pounced on the opportunity for some pictures!
Also, I am in Meg’s photo contest. (POTP) And some of these shall be my entries. I will label the ones that are(: The category for this is bright/bold, so I tried to stick to that as best as I could(: If you’re interested in joining be sure to go and let her know and have your entries in by March 3rd(:
Let’s go, shall we?
To start out, as my camera was on a 10 second count down, I slipped down a bank in our woods, ending up like this😆
I’m starting with the photo contest entries. This looks like one I’ve used before, (see HERE 😁) but I love how bright (and PURPLE!💜) and how the colors are fading from day to night.
I do love sunsets! I love the bold colors against the silhouette of the foreground objects.
With a bit of editing, I think this turned out pretty cute! I really enjoyed this one. I really wanted the bold pink color to stand out against the grayscale(:
Hehe, my brother took this one. It’s funny😂 I like it, again, because of the bright pink color with the blank background.
This is when we harvested our sunflowers. I know this isn’t very recent, but it fit the category so well(: Don’t you just love the golden petals of sunflowers?
Those are my entries! This theme was fun to take pictures for. Be sure to go visit Meg’s blog and join! I’m in team fox, and she has a few other teams, too!
Okay, now here are some photos I’ve taken over the past three or four days…
So many Springy things have sprung up over the past days of all this rain. It really looked (but I can’t say felt…) like Spring outside today!
Hehe. My friends and I did a photoshoot. Here we are very realistically running, holding hands, through the field😁 I love photoshoots(:
Walkin’ into March like…🤣
Our creek looks so pure and clean after all the rain that has rejuvenated it!
Little Maisy (disobediently…🤔) ran a long way down to the woods to come see where I was… (:
The fog this morning was SO pretty coming through the trees, and the picture would’ve been pretty too except..except… the CAMPER!? NOOO!
Isn’t fog gorgeous?
That is it! Thank you so much for reading this, it was fun!
Come by again sometime!
Y’all, be sure to let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see soon, I’ll do my best to do it!
Have a great day!
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN POTP? DO YOU LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES? HAS IT STOPPED RAINING WHERE YOU ARE?
Valentine’s Day is coming up soon! I always like making little Valentine’s around this time every year, and this year I wanted to show y’all how I do them! Let’s get right in to it.
So first, grab some scrapbook paper of your choice. (one big sheet is enough unless you’ll be switching) I chose pink and, later, one with hearts. (look at that funny little sun ray/spot on the paper😚)
Then fold it in half. (any way)
Then draw half on a heart right on the crease. (this helps to get the perfect shape)
Voila! Smooth it out straight and flat.
Then make 2-3 more. Leave the first flat, the second one half-folded, and the third mostly-folded.
Then I got out our ancient hot glue gun😄 You can use a glue stick or the like, but I always find hot glue works best.
While I waited for it to heat, I got out my card I was going to use.
Then I glued the half folded heart to the flat one.
Then add the mostly folded to the bunch. You can make it as big, add as many layers and colors as you want, but I only did three for now.
Then add your little heart cluster in one of the upper areas. (or lower. There are going to be words) I put mine in the mid-upper right.
Then sketch out the words you want and the basket. (It’s a hot air balloon😄)
Voila! I used my Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip for the words and clouds. (Although I used no pressure on the clouds; they were just sketchy lines.)
Then I got out a different sheet of scrapbook paper for the next one!
I got three puzzle pieces for this next one that says “I love you to pieces” I thought this saying was really cute, so i’m a’ gonna use ‘er!
Then flip your scrapbook paper over and trace and cut them out.
Then put a little dab of hot glue on the backs. Stick them towards the top, but not all the way up. More upper-middle. (Is that a thing?😁)
I forgot to take a picture of me doing this, but there! It’s finished! I just wrote it down using my Tombow Fude hard tip. (And AUGH! Points off for blurriness!)
Well, I hope you enjoyed this short DIY On Valentine’s Cards! Thank you so much for reading, friends!
ALSO: Big thanks for 25 Followers, you guys! Thank you so much!
Do you have any snow? We were supposed to get one inch yesterday, which is about the only amount of snow we get every year. Guess what?
We got 20 MEASLY MINUTES of FLURRIES!!!
😞 Well, there’s Georgia for you.
It seems lately that I have been taking a lot of random photos that don’t really fit in certain posts or categories, so I shall cluster them together in a pile of pixels here! Most of these are quite random, though. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed this small cluster of pixels! Come back soon!
I have accumulated, in the past months, a large amount of, to the best of my knowledge, random photos of random things, and I thought it would be fun to pour them out here for you all to see!
I can’t really say that I know the meaning of all of them, but maybe I call leave that to you!
Also, do you like French? I am learning it now and quite enjoy it😁
Sweet baby Everly, my Piano teachers daughter, that entered this world mere weeks ago.
As you can tell by this delightful look on poor Maisy, She was really enjoying this wheelbarrow ride😃
AHHH! Back when the beautiful golden leaves were still with us. *Tear slides softly down thy face*
A fall photoshoot with my friend. Ah, we speak of autumn, yet again…
Ahem. I am so sorry I don’t have an explanation for this. 😂
Ah. Fluffy clouds.
A photo on Christmas. Can you tell? (;
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! A bookstore we stumbled upon in Jacksonville, AL.
Hehe. We left my Grandparents house, and I only had these clean socks and these shoes, so I ended up with this. (I actually like it(: ) I matched the book store’s carpet😆
A photoshoot with another friend. Oh, don’t you LOVE photoshoots?
Maisy LOVES soccer. Evan and I play with her a lot, the actual game, AND SHE ALWAYS WINS. She can carry the ball in her teeth, and she can run SO FAST, that she just glides right by us into the goal!? SHE’S ALSO A GOALY. I’m not kidding. (😳)
Look at these COLORS! Ah. Beautiful!
There’s just something I love about this old plow. Hmm.
MOSS! You all know about me and moss. Oh, my. 😍
The pond at Golden Hour.
This is the sunset. I thought it looked pretty out of focus♥
Well, There’s some of the recent photos i’ve taken!
Today I chose weather as the topic for “Christmas Countdown” (:
A little bit of an odd one, but I though I’d give it a whirl!
Here where we live in Georgia, the weather on Christmas day is quite unpredictable.
I can only remember one white Christmas, and I think that was about nine or ten years ago! We usually get at least one snow a year, (maybe two, if we’re lucky) but we haven’t had a white Christmas in quite some years.
In 2016 we had 80° weather here! I remember that, because my Mom, for Christmas, had got me a plaid flannel shirt that I was eager to wear, but when we all went outside, since it was so sunny and warm, I had to go back inside twice to change into something that would be cooler! (I have pictures; I ended up with a tank top and shorts!)
But most years it’s just been cold, maybe sunny, and snowless): But that’s okay, because if we don’t have snow before Christmas, we usually get some after. (:
What Is your weather like where you live at Christmas? Do you get snow? Is it Hot?
