Hi there!

Today is the final day of Cassia’s photo contest. It has been fun! Unfortunately, I missed a few days, but I caught up HERE. Check it out!

Today’s final prompt: BOOKS

YES! Books!

Thank you, Cassia, for hosting this contest! It was so fun.

WELL… We recently went to the Country Living Fair not far from us in Stone Mountain, Ga. It was so fun! It was supposed to rain, but it remained fallishly cool and overcast, we couldn’t argue!

The Country Living Fair consists of food trucks, vendors containing things from the magazine, clothes, house things, vintage things, art, rugs, and all at Stone Mountain. We walked around the winding pathways and stopped at the different pop-ups.

We also got sick from the various cinnamon sugar pecans that might’ve been purchased for the pleasure of the taste buds. Mmm mm. (They’re GREAT)

There were some lovely paintings and artsy things. How pretty!

There was this one vendor that had these beautiful butterflies. Look at that middle one!

This was a degree from 1930 by Emory University hospital (right here in ATL!). I thought it was so neat! Mr. Mclaren Johnson. SO cool!

IMG_0020.JPG

This rocking horse looked very interested in his job. XD

IMG_0021.JPG

I loved the vintage postal boxes! I thought about getting some for my letters, but vintage prices weren’t quite in my reach(:

IMG_0029.JPG

AH! Vintage cameras!

IMG_0038.JPG

Look at this Kodak! I would like to take pictures with one of these. They’re so cute!

IMG_0039.JPG

On one of the loops there were vintage campers set up to look inside. I didn’t get good photos of the inside, but they had pink cabinets! AH!

IMG_0044.JPG

I kept trying to get photos of mirrors. Heh, it was hard! XD

OCTOBER!! INKTOBER! AUTUMN!

*cough, choke*

Let me calm myself…

Greetings!  Today I have photographed my October bullet journal setup, and I though you might enjoy.

I really like fall (like I said HERE.. And here.. and here…), so I had to incorporate that someplace, and leaves sprung up. Originally, I was thinking about a pumpkin, but leaves are just so… fun!

I kept it fairly simple, using my Tombow dual-brush pens and a micron and a Tombow Fudenosuke. I sketched it out, then I picked some “fallish” colors. I kept the lineart fairly simple as well, like not going around the edges, but just the veins in the leaf.

On the right page, the one for my calendar, I did simple orange/gold rectangular boxes and brush lettering on top with the day. I like the overall appearance of these pages. They have a nice warm vibe.

IMG_9700.JPG

I had to stretch the 31st day onto the next page, so in the blanks next to it I put wash tape from Target. Below I really wanted to incorporate the Anne of Green Gables quote, “Aren’t you so glad we live in a world where there are Octobers?” so I thought that was the best place. Below I did goals, reminders and to-do’s in red boxes. I like to add this near the calendar so it will remind you not to procrastinate(:

On the right I did my regular habit tracker in micron, then the leaves. I wanted to keep this one simple as to not compete with the opposite page(:

IMG_9701.JPG

I made this little letter tracker page with a black micron and I used the same leaves. It’s always fun to have a repetitive theme for the month, like I’ve been doing since June (ish). They’re always fun to look back on!

On the right I have the inktober prompts written down so I can easily check them off. (Don’t forget to look back during the month for Inktober progress!) I used the same leaf colors to create a gradient with the words. I really like doing this(:

IMG_9703.JPG

And for the last pages I mainly just stayed the same. Black micron and leaves. The left is blog ideas for the month ( (: ), and to the right was just overall ideas I have.

IMG_9705.JPG

That’s a wrap, for now. I hope you all enjoyed this month’s setup, come back soon!

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, he is the Messiah; the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God saying: Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those whom he is pleased.”

Luke 2:11-14(:

Christmas Countdown, Day 2

Aloha!

🎶 Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day..

heehee, That was just me remembering yesterday’s “Christmas Countdown”

Today’s topic is… drumroll please.. CHRISTMAS-Y FASHION!

WOO HOO!

OK, so, some of you might be envisioning a green and red Christmas sweater your great-Aunt Rudy crocheted for you. Is that it? (:

Some of my favorite things to wear at Christmastime are Christmas socks, that pretty much look like Aunt Rudy’s sweaters. But they’re GREAT! (just if you’re wondering, Target has some great pairs in their dollar section(; )

🎶        🎶        🎶

Well… I guess that about wraps this up.

HAH! get it? Wraps this up! because you know, Christmas and you, um, wrap things and, no? OK.

19 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

~theJunebugblog

Christmas Countdown, Day 1.

Hi, Everybody!

There are, umm, let’s check the calendars here, let’s see. There’s about, uh.. 20 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!??!! Huh? How is that even possible? It seems like 2018 is going (gone) SO fast! Is that just me?

I decided I would do a Countdown to Christmas (or vice versa, hence the name(: ) It will be the first time that i’ve done something like this on a blog, so we’ll see how it goes! It should be fun!

Here’s how it works:

So, The idea is, I’ll post something everyday (hehe, we’ll see how THAT goes!) that is Christmas themed! I love seeing what other people do around the holidays. It’s such a cheerful, festive time of year!

I’ll post little Christmasy snippets (supposedly (: ) everyday, except Sundays. Enjoy!

                                  Birthday-2

Yay! I’m excited to start. For day one, I will be talking about music! Christmas music is a large part of our music. Our Christmas playlists consist of these, mostly:

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

HANDELS MESSIAH

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AMY GRANT

AND OTHERS, INCLUDING AMY GRANT (;

As you can see, we like Amy Grant’s Christmas music(:

No, really, we do like Amy Grant’s Christmas albums, but we really like listening to Selah’s Christmas album “The Rose of Bethlehem”,too. It’s really very pretty. I like it because they mix some christian songs with popular and traditional music.

We all enjoy the traditional Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Jackson 5 and such. They’re always good!

I really like Lauren Daigle’s Christmas albums. She has such an amazing, powerful voice!

We all like the Pentatonix Christmas Albums. Oh man, are THEY talented!

What kind of Christmas music do YOU like? Comment below; I’d love to know!

I hope you like my first Christmas snippet for Countdown to Christmas!

What are you doing for the holidays?
